ART + LOOM is founded by Miami-based interior designer Samantha Gallacher, co-owner of the prestigious interior design firm IG Workshop. This extraordinary luxury indoor rug brand subscribes to the belief that there is no singular aesthetic, size, or color scheme that works in every home; thus, the brand offers customers the opportunity to create rugs that are as unique to their spaces as original works of art. Art + Loom’s numerous collections are varied in their inspiration—whether from nature, geometric shapes, urban environments, or the human form. The titles of the collections – names like Contour, Paint, Texture, and even the slightly risqué Erotic—hint at what you’ll find within. Customization is key to this luxury indoor rug maker; no matter the size, shape, color, or design you desire, Art + Loom is more than happy to accommodate personal requests. In fact, it’s encouraged.

Whether Art + Loom’s rugs are inspired by Gallacher’s own spectacular designs, collaborations with visionary artists and designers, or clientele seeking made-to-order pieces, Art + Loom balances modern sophistication with artisan craftsmanship. Designs are limited only by one’s imagination. Once finalized, the design is sent to one of Art + Loom’s factories in either India or Nepal, where it is handwoven or hand-tufted using the finest New Zealand wool, silk, or other natural fibers. Additional materials employed are Tencel, viscose, linen, and even 100% PET (recycled plastic). When properly cared for, Art + Loom designer indoor rugs will last for generations.

Art + Loom collaborates with some of the country’s top designers and artists to create beautiful, contemporary custom works of art for the floor. Collaborators include Virginia-based abstract artist and decorative arts designer Lindsay Cowles; L.A.-based designer, artist, and weaver Maureen Meyer; and Alison Antrobus, founder of Antrobus Design Collective.
