Pavilion

While many consider the outdoors as an escape from everyday life, Pavilion views the outdoors as the way to prevent life from escaping us. The upscale outdoor furniture maker’s extensive offerings – over 30 unique outdoor furniture collections – have been crafted for over half a century at its headquarters in Miami, Florida… a city that celebrates outdoor living to the fullest. And in its honor, each of Pavilion’s collections – consisting of a wide variety of patio chairs, lounge furniture, dining tables, daybeds, outdoor cabinets, umbrellas, and accessories ranging from classic to contemporary – is named for a distinct neighborhood in Miami (i.e., Brickell, Kendall, Pinecrest, and Aventura) to reflect the brand’s rich Miami heritage.

The company, originally established in the early 1970s as Sunburst Outdoor Furniture (the name was changed to Pavilion in 1996) comprises artisans, designers, and visionaries inspired by their home city’s diversity and dynamic use of space – from the magnetism of Miami Beach to the peaceful refinement of Coconut Grove to the lush natural wonders of the Everglades. In many ways a product of its surroundings, Pavilion’s fine outdoor furniture collections are influenced by a blend of classic design principles commonly found at the international fair Art Basel Miami Beach and the vibrancy of street murals that characterize the thriving cultural hub of Wynwood.

Although designed for exterior use, many Pavilion collections are perfect for interiors as well.

Materials

Pavilion loves and respects the outdoors – a tenet that drives the minds behind Pavilion to think creatively to minimize the company’s carbon footprint. As a result, Pavilion is constantly improving its processes for recycling plastics, aluminum, paper, and cardboard. The majority of Pavilion’s collections are aluminum-based, with details in materials such as granite, marble, glass, fiberglass, vinyl, and Sunbrella fabrics. Whenever possible, the brand employs materials manufactured using recycled content, such as EcoWood (a superior wood alternative that performs well in all weather conditions).

Pavilion umbrella frames are constructed from durable, marine-grade, weather-resistant materials. All fasteners are made of marine-grade stainless steel and will withstand the most corrosive environments. Likewise, Pavilion’s umbrella canopies employ the most durable and state-of-the-art marine fabrics and thread, including proven high-performance, UV-stable materials. The company is so confident in its quality and durability that it offers a lifetime warranty on most products.

Pavilion’s roster of designer collaborators includes such respected names as:
