Most CLIMA Home fire pits are crafted from durable GFRC (glass fiber reinforced concrete), which has the look and feel of natural stone but at a lighter and more manageable weight. The material is also designed to withstand extreme heat and any other outdoor elements and weather conditions. Sculptural and textural, most CLIMA Home fire tables and bowls are topped with your choice of decorative fire glass or tumbled lava stones. Artful in appearance and functional in purpose, each piece is handcrafted and hand-finished by a team of skilled artisans and applied in layers with one of 13 unique finishes or marine-grade colors. The result is a fire pit design that is at once functional and decorative.

What type of fuel is best?

Propane: Propane is readily available at local stores and gas stations and conveniently comes in exchangeable or refillable tanks that make it easy to move your fire table or bowl to a new location. Keep in mind that while propane makes these fire units more flexible, replenishing propane or running out in the middle of an event or gathering can certainly put a damper on things… so plan ahead.

Natural Gas: Connecting your fire table or bowl to natural gas is convenient for homeowners who spend a great deal of time outdoors and want to permanently connect the fire unit to a fuel source that will never run dry. This requires professional installation of a gas line from your home and likely means the fire unit will stay in the location where it is installed in lieu of the flexibility to relocate.

Bioethanol (Biofuel): Ethanol is an eco-friendly and readily available renewable energy source that’s clean-burning and produces no smoke whatsoever. As with propane, bioethanol is stored in portable containers, allowing for greater flexibility as far as placement of the fire table or bowl. It’s important to note that while providing a realistic flame that’s consistent and reliable, bioethanol does not produce as much heat as propane or natural gas.
