Cane-line Interiors

Founded in 1987, Cane-line is a Danish design firm with over 30 years of experience designing and manufacturing innovative, high-quality indoor and outdoor furniture. While the core of Cane-line’s range is designed for use in outdoor environments, its sophisticated interiors collection brings the natural relaxation of outdoor spaces into the living room, around the dining table, and throughout other areas of the home. The collections include indoor lounge furniture, dining chairs and tables, and decorative accessories encompassing warm and natural colors, organic forms, and interior-friendly materials such as sustainable rattan.

Cane-line strives to make aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand, but comfort is always at the core. In fact, Cane-line’s motto: “Life Made Comfortable,” is intentionally interwoven into every product – from the ergonomics of its designs to the selection of cozy yet durable materials. Convenience is also thoughtfully considered, evidenced by Cane-line outdoor furniture’s reputation for low maintenance, its QuickDry&Airflow system cushions, and easy-to-clean fabrics.

The idea of comfort also transcends into the brand’s philosophy that furniture should be made with social responsibility, sustainability, and respect for the environment. Cane-line is conscious of its consumption of resources, recycling, and the cleaning of wastewater, and in 2009, the company achieved its first ISO 14001 certification, the most highly reputed international standard for environmental management systems. Cane-line’s corporate conduct and activities have also earned international certifications, ensuring exceptional working conditions in the countries in which it operates. This means that no child labor is allowed and that wage levels are fair and in accordance with local legislation.

“Life made comfortable” is the very essence of Cane-line. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, the brand’s mission has been to design and develop comfortable, durable, and functional furniture with a Scandinavian touch.

Materials

Cane-line’s primary focus is to achieve a level of comfort that traditional furniture often lacks while retaining functionality. One of the brand’s most-used materials for its indoor collections is rattan, a climbing plant belonging to the palm family that grows over trees and other plants in the rainforest. There are about 600 species of rattan; Cane-line uses only the best and strongest for furniture production.

Cane-line uses other signature materials for its indoor furniture, including Cane-line Rope, a woven Selected PP fiber coving the brand’s trademarked Cane-line Weave, and Cane-line Natté, a unique material produced by Sunbrella for Cane-line. Other materials include powder-coated aluminum, glass, linoleum, leather, rattan peel, and Cane-line Teak, which is sourced in forests where the timber is approved under SVLK (Indonesia’s timber legality assurance system). This guarantees that trees are forested responsibly to preserve the natural environment and prevent deforestation.
