Umbrosa Umbrellas

The Belgium-based company Umbrosa is a brand synonymous with classy and sophisticated, flexible and sustainable shade solutions, ideal for both residential and commercial settings. Employing all that is practical about a standard outdoor parasol, then boldly experimenting with varietal shapes, styles, and functions, Umbrosa works tirelessly to provide shade solutions that combine simplicity and understated elegance with a never-before-seen technology – giving new meaning to the words “easy-to-operate umbrella.” Umbrella’s fine umbrella and parasol range consists of an elite group of purposefully developed umbrella collections – the cantilevered Spectra; the simplistic Infina; the wall-mounted Paraflex; the design-forward, leaf-shaped Icarus; the round, offset Eclipsum; the Ingenua shade sails. Each collection combines functionality and ergonomics to ensure protection from the sun in its own unique and stylish way.

When Umbrosa says it is a 100-percent Belgian organization, it means it. From development and design to assembly to shipping, the entire process is done in-house from the company’s headquarters in Roeselare – a town in the Belgian province of West Flanders about 25 miles south of Bruges. The in-house production chain allows the company to maintain quality control over every stage of the manufacturing process. It all begins with the seamstresses who carefully inspect the fabrics and subsequently, transform them into canopies. Before reaching consumers, Umbrosa’s creations have already passed through many skilled hands and been looked over by many pairs of scrutinizing eyes. The manual assembly of its umbrellas is Umbrella’s final physical check that guarantees utter perfection.

Nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Umbrosa’s designs. Just as trees and plants uniquely provide shade for themselves and their habitat, Umbrosa relies on the ingenious aspects of nature to develop its multifunctional and innovative shade creations. The luxury umbrella brand’s team of designers pays special attention to the character of nature and the daring creativity of each design. And while design trends are considered, Umbrosa ultimately strives for timelessness.

If you’re stylish, soothing shade for your pool or patio is what you’re after, we invite you to browse Umbrosa’s extraordinary outdoor umbrella collection here online, or in person at CLIMA Home’s Miami showroom.

Materials

All Umbrosa umbrellas are made with either polished stainless steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, or anodized aluminum (known for its durability and minimal weight) and UV-resistant, water-repellent fabrics from Sunbrella or the brand’s proprietary fabric, Solidum. All materials are designed to be durable and weather-resistant to ensure long-lasting shade year after year. Being an environmentally responsible company, Umbrosa uses as many recycled materials as possible.

Umbrosa has also developed a vast color collection, allowing customers to create a perfect match between their umbrellas or shades and their outdoor furniture, accessories, or decor. As an added bonus, the hardware can be matched as well. The Spectra, Infina, and Ingenua collections, for example, can be lacquered in any RAL (Europe’s color-matching system) color.
