Sifas Furniture

The values of sharing, authenticity, and durability are embedded into the DNA and history of Sifas, a luxury outdoor furniture company founded in Cannes, France, in 1964. Over the years, the brand has evolved into one of Europe’s most sought-after outdoor furniture brands, known for its tradition of impeccable craftsmanship and exceptional design without ever compromising functionality or comfort. Sifas is particularly in tune with its customers’ desires, listening to their wishes and reflecting them into its collections. As a result, its creations exude chic, modern sophistication while remaining effortlessly timeless.

Each of Sifas’s collections – Basket, Kalife, Komfy, Kross, Kwadra, Oskar, Pheniks, Coco, Korol, and Riviera – is inspired by the company’s roots in the heart of the Côte d’Azur (the French Riviera). This allows customers to transform their backyards, patios, terraces, or gardens into their very own Mediterranean getaways, complete with modular and mixable lounge sets and dining furniture, plus one-of-a-kind leisure pieces, lighting, umbrellas, and more. And with its unique “in-outdoor” approach, Sifas furniture is built for both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Sifas has always been at the forefront of the contemporary outdoor furniture landscape. Early on, the company was immersed in the artistic climate associated with 1960s French Riviera, and it quickly became a go-to brand for luxury clientele. Today, Sifas has five dedicated showrooms throughout France, plus headquarters in Brazil, China, and Miami.

Materials

Sifas has specialized in outdoor furnishings and textiles for patios, pools, and boats for more than 60 years. In that time, it has gained immense knowledge about weather-resistant materials. The result is carefully chosen production methods, countries of manufacture, and technical components on the basis of durability, simplicity of use, ease of maintenance, and sustainability. Sifas is known for having a responsible and intelligent approach to the environment, and the majority of the materials it uses are recyclable and have a low carbon footprint.

Because Sifas furniture is designed for the outdoors, all materials are optimized to withstand prolonged exterior use. For example, the lacquered aluminum used undergoes a pre-treatment that prepares the metal for a perfect powder-coated finish that is baked on to ensure maximum resistance to the elements. Likewise, its glass tabletops are tempered at high temperatures and lacquered for optimum weatherproofing; the glass is then washed with acid to produce a matte non-smudge surface that requires little care. Other materials include polyester, ceramic, high-pressure laminate, aged teak wood and Synteak, a mass-extruded polyethylene that reproduces the look of teak yet requires no care and is guaranteed for outdoor use. Sifas also uses 100 percent mass-dyed acrylic fabrics from Sunbrella, which are fade-, stain-, mold-, and UV-resistant and water-repellent.

Designers

Sifas collaborates with some of the world’s best creative minds, including French designer Eric Carrère – the principal designer for Sifas’s collections. Other collaborations have included British designer Marc Robson and Spanish fashion designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
