Pfister

Throughout his illustrious career, Charles Pfister received global recognition and admiration for his sculptural, useful, and beautifully constructed furniture designs. After studying architecture and design at the University of California, Berkeley, Pfister went on to work in the interior design department of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill; there he created his Pfister Collection for Knoll, which began production beginning in 1971, prior to breaking out on his own. Pfister’s furnishings are characterized by the designer’s philosophy that opulence does not necessitate fussiness. Accordingly, Pfister’s exemplary furniture designs for Knoll are a soulful and refined addition to any modern interior.
